Golden Comets are hardy fish and can tolerate a relatively wide range of water temperatures, making them particularly well suited to outdoor garden ponds.

For best health and activity, aim for a water temperature of approximately 15–24°C.

The most important consideration is to avoid sudden changes in water temperature. When introducing new fish to your pond, always acclimatise them gradually to the pond water rather than releasing them immediately.

We take extra care when preparing your fish for their journey.

Your Golden Comets are specially packed for long journeys using packaging designed to help sustain the fish during transport. While most deliveries arrive quickly, the fish are packed to allow them to cope with longer transit times should there be an unexpected delay.

Delivery Information

• Live pond fish delivery:Â $22
• Fish can be shipped to your home, workplace or another physical address you specify
• Orders cannot be shipped to PO Boxes
• Delivery usually takes approximately 24 hours from when your order is shipped
• In rare circumstances, delivery can take up to 48 hours
• Live fish are shipped Monday to Thursday only to help prevent orders from being delayed over a weekend
• We carefully prepare and pack every fish before dispatch

We do not send live fish late in the week because we want to minimise the risk of fish being held in transit over the weekend.

Receiving Your Fish

When your fish arrive, open the package and check them promptly.

It is normal for fish to be stressed or less active after their journey. Allow them time to acclimatise gradually to their new environment.

Do not immediately release newly arrived fish into the pond. Gradually acclimatise them to the pond water so they can adjust to the difference in temperature and water conditions. Do this by floating the bag on top of your pond for 5-10 minutes.
