Effective Broad-Spectrum Wormer for Caged Birds Over 250g

Avitrol Plus is a trusted, broad-spectrum worming solution formulated for caged birds weighing over 250g. Each tablet contains a precise combination of Levamisole Hydrochloride (20mg) and Praziquantel (4mg), delivering effective control against a range of common intestinal worms.

Composition:

• Levamisole Hydrochloride – 20mg
• Praziquantel – 4mg

Controls the Following Parasites:

• Threadworm (Capillaria spp.)
• Caecal worm (Heterakis spp.)
• Roundworm (Ascaridia spp.)
• Gape worm (Syngamus spp.)
• Gizzard worm (Acuaria spp.)
• Tapeworm (Raillietina spp.)

Important Precautions:

• Not suitable for bird species or strains known to be sensitive to levamisole.
• Parrots may be more sensitive than pigeons – use caution.
• Avoid dosing during extremely hot or dry weather, or when birds are stressed or feeding young.
• Not recommended during the breeding season or for racing pigeons.
• Vomiting may occur – to minimise this, do not handle birds for at least 10 minutes after dosing.
• If problems persist, consult a veterinarian.

Dosage & Administration:

Administer orally, directly into the throat.

• Active Dosage Rate:
  Levamisole HCl – 40mg/kg
  Praziquantel – 8mg/kg
• Withholding Feed:
  Do not feed birds for 24 hours prior to dosing and 3 hours after treatment.
• Post-Treatment Care:
  Treat all birds in the loft or cage and clean/disinfect the area 3 days after treatment for optimal parasite control.

For use only in healthy birds over 250g. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of reach of children and animals. Always follow label directions.
