Staurogyne Repens originates from the Southern Amazon. It produces small bushy compact leaves that make it ideal as a foreground plant in any planted aquarium. The leaves are oval in shape, green in colour and reach up 4.5cm in size. Overall, the plant can reach up 10cm in height although regular pruning will keep it small and compact and it can even be grown as a carpet. Planted aquarium substrate and the addition of CO2 will bring out the best in this plant. Propagation is via cutting from the mother plant. Like all tissue culture plants, the nutrient should rinsed off prior to planting.
